Top 5

Of the more than 120 players who played for their country after their participation in the KST, about 30 are currently still active as an international player. Of these, this is the top-5 in terms of numbers of international matches:

  1. Aleksandar Kolarov (current club: FC Internazionale), participation in the KST in 2003 with FK Cukaricki, international for Serbia with 94 caps
  2. Lukas Hradecky (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), KST 2008: TPS Turku, Finland: 64 caps
  3. Jasper Cillessen (Valencia CF), KST 2007 and 2008: NEC Nijmegen, The Netherlands: 60 caps
  4. Jere Uronen (KRC Genk), KST 2009: TPS Turku, Finland: 46 caps
  5. Luuk de Jong (Sevilla FC), KST 2006 and 2008: De Graafschap, The Netherlands: 32 caps

World Cup qualifiers are scheduled for this month for Serbia, Finland and the Netherlands.
Kolarov has not been called up since a very long time. However, the Serbian national coach has not written him off yet, so he may still be able to reach the magical limit of 100 caps.
With the Finns, Hradecky is still injured and Uronen is facing a corona quarantine. However, if the situation permits, they will certainly come into action for Finland.
Cillessen and De Jong have both been called up by the Orange Coach for the matches against Turkey, Latvia and Gibraltar and seem to be able to increase their number of caps a little.
