In memoriam Erik Eggink
In memoriam Erik Eggink

Thursday evening we received very sad news that Erik Eggink had suddenly died at work that afternoon at an age of only 53 years.
Erik was a member of the field committee for 21 years, in which he emerged as one of the pillars. Every year he was working at our sports park more than a week before the start of the Karel Stegeman Tournament to ensure that the complex was picobello during the tournament. During the tournament, Erik pitched his tents, literally and figuratively, between field 1 and field 2 to fulfill his task as field commissioner for three days from that position. Also on the Tuesday after the tournament, Erik was never lacking, with the help of many, to ensure that the complex was cleaned up and returned to its state before the Pentecost weekend.
Erik thoroughly enjoyed “his” KST, which meant that he was also very happy to be present at the meeting with our (foreign) guests on Sunday evening and during the “tour through the village” on Tuesday after the clean-up.
Erik, we are going to miss you very much!
We wish his father, further family, friends and acquaintances a lot of strength in coping with this intense grief and great loss.

proud of our sponsors:
