Swedish topper peaks at KST

Thanks to a very quick goal by the best player of the Karel Stegeman Tournament in the final against the Belgian KV Mechelen, Halmstads BK managed to take the tournament victory. The team, which is currently in the top of the highest Swedish youth league, can call itself the rightful winner of the 36th edition of this international event.
In the Danish battle for third and fourth place, AC Horsens took the lead by taking the necessary penalty shootout better than Aalborg BK.

Other awards

The Henk Wendt Trophy, the prize for the sportiest team, went to RTS Widzew Lódz this year.
Pontus Carlsson of Halmstads BK and Rayyane Falchou of KV Mechelen were named best player and best goalkeeper respectively.
The awarde for the top scorer of the tournament was shared by Albin Binnefos (Halmstads BK), Donovan Bagou (Allborg BK) and Filip Elfving (Kalmar FF). The trio netted four times.
