After a previous victory in 2008, Swedish IF Elfsborg won the Karel Stegeman Toernooi for the second time last year. One of the coaches of the winning team was the 43-year-old ex-professional footballer Klas Ingesson.
Ingesson played in his career from 1986 to 2001 for respectively IFK Gőteborg, KV Mechelen, PSV Eindhoven, Sheffield Wednesday, AS Roma, Bologna FC, Olympique Marseille and US Lecce. For these clubs, he played 371 games and scored 56 goals. For the Swedish national team Ingesson played 57 times and scored 13 times. Before his career in professional football, he played in his youth for Ödeshögs IK and after his career he became President of this club. In December 2010 Ingesson was asked by IF Elfsborg to become youth coach with this club. This brought him in 2011 for the first time in Ruurlo and undoubtedly he will come again this year.
